How Come My Disc does not Hurt?
Переглядів 3 тис.2 роки тому
Have you ever wondered why you have no pain even though your MRI showed a large disc or bone spur on your MRI's? Luckily, our spinal cord and nerves are encased in a tube of water call the dural tube (dural sac, another name) that allows our nerve tissues to float away from the herniation or bone spur.

So a chubby side sleeper is just up shit creek okay great
I’ve been wearing a back brace for 4 years now. I wear it EVERY SINGLE DAY, I feel my condition isn’t improving, and now I feel depended on it. I think it’s fine for a few months after injury, but not long term, it can cause muscles to be weaken since they don’t have to work much anymore with the brace.
Had this done on two pinched nerves two weeks ago and so far so good. I still have outer thihg pain which comes and goes which according to the surgeon is normal in my case since the nerve was trapped for several years it will take,e longer to regenerate
Question, I'm 62. I do yoga and I squat and deadlift 400lbs without a belt. I'm thinking about learning to play golf. My yoga has saved my back, basically my life Is it ok to learn golf, or should I forget it? Any advice is appreciated 😊 Oh, and no back pain at all now. Yoga👍
Very true. I have herniated disc at varioua areas, very bad at the neck and sciatica. It takes a white before the pain gets better but it will and you have to avoid lifting, pushing, or pulling heavy stuff.
I have surgery tomorrow on l5 S1 I don’t leg pain but I have so much pain that sometimes it hard to walk or my leg get weak will the surgery help
What is the medicine for dissolve nucleus pulposus in case of herniated disc.... Please reply soon... It is something urgent...
Good to see people spreading positivity. I have disc herniation l5s1 for almost 3.5 years.. but it didn't improve with time. I had a consultation with 3 neurosurgeons. All of em told me to go for surgery so I'm going for surgery next month because all these things didn't work for me.
God help. Take this pain away.
Just been through a nightmare. Pain in the upper back and shoulders, numbness, and the MRI scan showed a bulged cervical disc. A surgeon told me scary things about the need for a very invasive surgery and only negative things about physiotherapy and body's capability to heal. I rejected the idea and went to physiotherapy. There's only a few days since I started with the therapeutic procedures. I feel slightly better but some pain and numbness persist. Found very little room for hope on the Internet. This is an exception.
❤
Very good video. It can't be explained any better. I just recently discovered after 14 years of having back pain, that this is something that I have a minor case of. It has changed my life already. As of right now I am, not to go back to work for 6 weeks due to heavy lifting. Financially this is going to be an issue.
I have 6.7 mm. My pain so annoying to be honest but not that much sevare pain. I'm suffering over 4months now. I hope it heal itself.
Thanks for this video
Doc please help me. I need your advise. My current situation cervical spine radiculopathy. Both arms has tingling feeling. Surgery it not my option coz i cant afford it. Maybe your advise could help me, please🙏
Won't removing the ligament severely destabilize the spine or willl the device do that job well enough?
Hello Dr How long will it take for my pain to go away I have had it for 13 years now I am at the point where I have to bend my knees to relieve the pain
Compression on my l3 and fracture on 15,after 3 weeks it i can walk but with minimum step, with my hsy lso brace,it helps me move with very² little to no pain, of course my torso movements would be limited, but for my own benefit it help to straighten my back,im not doing the surgery,im letting it heal by itself,im consider myself as speedy recovery, but the brace will stay on my back for a long time,i will not go anywhere without it for 2-4 years from now 😊 .. it helps, really help ..
Thank you Jesus, I'm praying for all those who believe in this wonderful word!
Isaiah 53:5; 2 Peter 2:24

Dear Doctor, I am experiencing the following symptoms: - Pain in the lower back, specifically on the left side near the sacrum and hip area - This pain only occurs when the i am sitting, but goes away with movement and walking - The pain also comes when bending or leaning forward - The pain in the lower left back area is very bothersome and uncomfortable - i have no other symptoms like numbness, weakness, or anything else besides this pain - i am medical student and i spend a lot of time sitting for studying - i went to doctor who prescribed anti-inflammatories and muscle relaxants, but the pain has not subsided - The doctor has recommended an MRI scan to check for a possible disc herniation, but the i doubt this is the cause since there are no other neurological symptoms Please advise me what i should to do to relive this pain when i sitting because i want study for my exam 😢😢😢
Thanks for the explanation. With so much information, we have to think for ourselves, and that's painful in a different way.
Im having my surgery done in 4 days I have been suffering for 4 and half years 😢so now I'm hoping to get my life back and be pain free 🙏
You'll be happy
How did your surgery go? Any pain post surgery and what's the recovery been like?
My mom had scoliosis and her spine straightened with metal. She suffers from severe muscle spasms which causes severe pain. She can’t walk anymore and she has accepted the fact she needs a wheelchair to move, but the pain from the spasms are unbearable. We don’t know what to do.
I counted months, did not go surgery but I got the most painful months. I took ALAnerve, MethylB12, Glutaplus from Gr8life with astaxanthin and aronia berry, and apple cider gummies. Took ibuprofen and paracetamol if can't tolerate. It healed after 17 months. The last flare up with so much pain, I took a rest straight for 4 days. Then had to travel by boat. Would it be the boat contributed to the decompression? The gravity. No more right jeans as well. Always wear dress and square pants for blood circulation. Always have lumbar belt when travelling. It's already a month that everything turned back to normal. No more numbness. No more pain. I had PT for three months as well. Prayer. Prayer is powerful, too. Faith. Thank, Doc for this video. I really watched it many times. (Disclaimer: This is just based on my experience on the journey of healing. Always seek medical advice)
Five weeks and I am in pain. 😮

Sir, what if i have waited with pain for over 2 years.. and i am 24.. and it still causes extreme pain sometimes…. What should be done?
thank you so much
I like this video. Gives me hope.
I'm waiting for my schedule date. It's an annoying pain and numbness. I haven't sleep in days. Damn't!
Do not reduce inflation. Inflation is blood building up in that area to heal it. The person that published the R.I.C.E. method back in the 70s has recalled his claims in 2015, stating that the R.I.C.E. method may prolong healing.
Mine cured now
Glad it cured for you. How long did it take and did you have pain in your calf as well?
@@darrenmetal3338 I take 10dyas complete medicine with 2 injection after that it cured
@@darrenmetal3338 it cured in 10 days with medicine and injection
Thank you so much for this. Very clear and to the point and informative for me being such a patient.
Fibromalgia pain, please help to research for fibromyalgia. Ty 😊
It's not confirmed, but it's suspected I have a herniated disc. I've had this pain since I was 19, and I'm 21 now. The pain persists, it hasn't gotten worse. I'm not sure what I can do. I just went to a chiropractor and blew $125 on some stupid massage gun therapy session that did nothing, and the doctor barely spoke to me and offered vague suggestions as to what I could do (yoga and stretches.) he did repeat that I should come back again several times though, and offered muscle relaxers. He said it was really tight, but I will just buy my own massage gun if it actually does anything.
Hello. I have been having aching pain in my legs, and weakness and an inability to walk after intense exercise since I fell from a tree in 2013 when I was around 12. I am almost 23, and an MRI was finally preformed on my lumbar after several years of thinking my pain was imaginary. Mri showed protusion/herniation of l5-s1, displacing posterior nerve s1 placement. I couldnt believe it. Proof that all the sleepness nights were real. I hope it isnt too late. My left leg is very weak, and I still havent seent the specialist yet. I use a cane and a walker and a shower chair at 22... and i thought it was in my head until the doctor was explaining the findings.
